Update

Apparently my dad misinterpreted the original report from the hospital - my grandfather's cardiac enzymes are fine.

It's exactly as it always is: they ran a bunch of tests, and can't find anything wrong with him. He swore he had a stroke, but of course didn't understand that a stroke is completely different from anything he's ever had, and of course is not what is wrong with him. In fact, the same doctor that was assigned to him the last time he went in - when he had a seizure in church last year - was his attending physician again. She's cool, and is just keeping him overnight to monitor his heart, just in case it has anything to do with his heart.

So, thanks for all your support! He'll be released tomorrow, and we'll pick him up and take him home. Where, hopefully, I'll be rewarded with a Vaccaro's cookie.

It's also a good thing my dad hurried and made flight arrangements to come in tomorrow night. For a perfectly healthy 90-year-old who just can't sleep because of some ringing in his ears. Hmm. We should really talk to him about what he feels he needs to go to the ER for.
